Terms of Service

Perpetual workstation software licensing with Bring-Your-Own-Key (BYOK) model provider independence. Review the binding commercial terms, license restrictions, refund policy, and support guidelines below.

The product model, perpetual license & evaluation trial

Orek AI is proprietary commercial workstation software owned by OrekGames LLC. The software is licensed, not sold. Your purchased license grants one named user a non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, perpetual entitlement to install and run the specified edition on up to the maximum number of authorized device slots included with your purchase (up to 3 concurrent devices for the Orek edition).

The software follows a YEAR.MINOR.PATCH release numbering scheme (for example, 2026.0.0, 2026.1.0, 2026.4.0). The software license has no recurring monthly or annual software subscription fee. A permanent purchase covers its purchased major version and that major's minor and patch releases; an early 0.x purchase also covers 1.x. Subject to account sign-in and device authorization, OrekGames LLC also provides a one-time 14-day evaluation trial on 1 device to evaluate the software prior to purchase. Later major versions or distinct product tiers may be offered separately under distinct terms.

License restrictions, non-redistribution & third-party notices

No redistribution or seat sharing: You may not redistribute, resell, sublicense, rent, lease, lend, mirror, or repackage the software or its installer archives. You may not share a single-user license, account session, online license key, or signed activation code across multiple individuals, nor host or expose Orek as a managed, commercial, or multi-tenant service for third parties.

Integrity & anti-circumvention: You may not reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, modify, patch, or tamper with the software binaries or its cryptographic license-verification, installation-binding, or evaluation trial mechanisms, except to the limited extent expressly permitted by mandatory applicable law.

Open-source & bundled model attributions: Release archives include a companion LICENSE.txt (the packaged software license agreement) and THIRD_PARTY_NOTICES.txt covering third-party open-source libraries, local inference runtimes, and bundled model weights, which remain governed by their respective upstream licenses. Windows archives also include Microsoft's Visual C++ runtime libraries, which are Microsoft's proprietary software and are covered by the license restrictions above.

Model provider independence & BYOK

Orek AI operates on a Bring-Your-Own-Key (BYOK) architecture. You connect the software to third-party language model providers (such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini, Groq, Ollama, or custom OpenAI-compatible endpoints) using your own credentials and accounts directly with those providers.

Your model provider accounts, API token fees, rate limits, credit balances, uptime, and data retention practices are governed exclusively by your agreements with those respective providers. OrekGames LLC does not broker, meter, manage, or bill for third-party inference usage, and OrekGames LLC is not responsible or liable for any third-party provider fees, outages, token consumption, or model deprecations. Provider API credentials are stored in your local workstation credential store and are never sent to or stored by this website.

Account, activation & device management

Software downloads are public. Purchases, license entitlements, and device authorizations are managed through your customer account using your chosen sign-in provider (Google or GitHub). Use the same sign-in account to generate license activation keys and review device allocations.

Browser device sign-in (orek license login) and online key activation contact the licensing authority; a signed code can also be imported from a file without a network request from the workstation. Orek verifies saved signed rights locally for productive use and does not periodically contact the licensing service for paid authorization. If a license is revoked, refunded, or suspended due to an unresolved payment dispute, the server stops further issuance and deauthorizes its active device allocations. A signed code already exported to a disconnected machine cannot be remotely erased; that technical limit does not extend permission to use the software after rights terminate under these Terms.

Payments, refunds & consumer rights

Merchant of record: New purchases use Stripe Managed Payments and are sold through Link. Checkout, receipts, and card statements identify the applicable Sold through Link merchant. Stripe handles transaction-level payment support, applicable indirect taxes in covered countries, and disputes. OrekGames LLC provides the software, license rights, and product support.

Refund protections: Purchases follow the applicable Sold through Link refund policy and mandatory consumer law. Link may refund qualifying transactions within 60 days of purchase; this is not an unconditional 60-day change-of-mind guarantee. These protections take precedence over any more restrictive seller wording. Contact payment support through your receipt for payment or refund requests, and Orek support for software or licensing assistance.

Digital delivery: Checkout explains the software license, price, taxes, currency, and applicable terms before payment. Any consent to immediate digital delivery does not remove mandatory consumer rights or Sold through Link refund protections. Historical purchases retain the rights and terms recorded for those transactions.

Refunds and disputes: A full refund or lost payment dispute stops further license issuance and revokes the affected online device allocations. Matching signed revocation evidence takes effect when a device receives or imports it. A previously exported code cannot be remotely erased from a disconnected machine; that technical limit does not preserve license rights after they terminate. An unresolved dispute can suspend online issuance while it is reviewed.

Warranty disclaimer & limitation of liability

Disclaimer of Warranties: To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the software and services are provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.

Nothing in these Terms limits your statutory consumer rights or any liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

Limitation of Liability: To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall OrekGames LLC or its suppliers be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, source code, or business interruption.

Where permitted by law, OrekGames LLC's total liability relating to the software will not exceed the amount you actually paid for the license giving rise to the claim.
